Job summary

Verisk is seeking an experienced DevOps/SRE engineer to collaborate with development, QA, and security teams, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of the platform. You will design and implement scalable CI/CD pipelines and manage AWS infrastructure.

The role requires automation expertise, IaC, containerization with Docker/ECS, and strong monitoring capabilities. A hybrid work arrangement is supported and relevant security practices are emphasized.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering roles.
• Cloud Platforms: AWS.

• Implement monitoring and alerting with Dynatrace and Splunk for observability and rapid incident response.
• Develop automation scripts using Python and CDKTF to streamline tasks.
• Ensure HA and performance through capacity planning and optimization.
• Integrate DevSecOps practices with security checks in CI/CD using Wiz.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve release efficiency.
• Provide production support and participate in on-call rotations.

Job Description

This role requires close collaboration with development, QA, and security teams to ensure high availability, performance, and security of the platform.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable automated build, testing, and deployment using tools such as Jenkins and Azure DevOps.
• Manage, provision, and optimize Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud infrastructure in to ensure scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and AWS CloudFormation to automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.
• Build, deploy, and manage containerized applications using Docker and Amazon ECS to support scalable and portable application environments.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using tools such as Dynatrace and Splunk to ensure system health, observability, and rapid incident response.
• Develop automation scripts using Python and CDKTF to streamline infrastructure management and operational tasks.
• Ensure high availability, performance, and system reliability through proactive monitoring, capacity planning, and performance optimization.
• Integrate DevSecOps best practices by implementing security and compliance checks within CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Wiz.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to enhance development workflows, streamline deployments, and improve overall release efficiency.
• Provide production support by troubleshooting system issues, performing root cause analysis, and implementing corrective and preventive measures to ensure platform stability. Participation in a scheduled on-call rotation may be required.
