Job summary

BuildxPartners in Chennai, India, is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with strong hands-on experience in AWS and on-prem infrastructure. You will build, automate, and manage scalable infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native platforms; ownership mindset and troubleshooting are essential.

The role requires contributing to DevSecOps practices, IaC with Terraform/CloudFormation, and collaboration with engineering, QA, and IT teams to improve developer experience.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in DevOps / Platform Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD tools.
• Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, or CloudWatch.
• Experience managing hybrid cloud + on-prem infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and manage AWS infrastructure and hybrid (cloud + on-prem) environments.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform / CloudFormation.
• Automate infrastructure and operations using Python, Bash, and Ansible.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD, etc.).
• Manage containerized platforms using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
• Handle production issues and lead incident resolution.
• Implement DevSecOps best practices including access control and secret management.
• Collaborate closely with engineering, QA, and IT teams to improve developer experience.
