We are seeking an experienced DevOps/Platform Engineer in Chennai to own and advance end-to-end CI/CD pipelines, multi-region cloud infrastructure, and robust disaster recovery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on DevOps, cloud infrastructure, SRE, platform engineering, or DBA roles.
• Strong hands-on AWS experience across compute, networking, IAM, storage, monitoring, backup, and security.
• Proven experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, Jenkins/GitHub Actions, and modern CI/CD practices.
• Experience in database administration including backup/recovery, replication, patching, upgrades, and performance tuning.
• Experience designing HA and disaster recovery solutions with multi-region deployments.

Responsibilities

• Own and improve end-to-end CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and deployment automation workflows.
• Design, deploy, and operate AWS-based cloud infrastructure for high availability, scalability, and security.
• Build and support multi-AZ/multi-region architectures for critical workloads with failover and resiliency patterns.
• Manage and administer databases: installation, upgrades, patching, backups, migrations, and performance tuning.
• Implement security controls including IAM/RBAC, encryption, auditing, and compliance.
• Develop observability using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, CloudWatch; monitor and respond to incidents.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Own and improveend-to-end CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and deployment automation workflows.
• Design, deploy, andoperateAWS-based cloud infrastructurefor high availability, scalability, and security.
• Build and supportmulti-AZ / multi-region architecturesfor critical workloads, including failover and resiliency patterns.
• Manage and administer databases, including:
• installation and upgrades
• patching and hardening
• backup/restore operations
• schema/data migrations
• storage expansion and capacity planning
• performance tuning and query optimization
• Define, implement, and regularlyvalidatebackup and disaster recovery strategies, includingRTO/RPO targets, restore testing, and DR runbooks.
• Partner with application, infrastructure, security, and platform teams to improvesystem reliability, automation, and operational maturity.
• Implement strongsecurity and access controls, including IAM/RBAC,secretsmanagement, encryption, vulnerability management, and audit logging.
• Build and enhanceobservability platformsusing tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, CloudWatch, and distributed logging/monitoring solutions.
• Supportincident response, root cause analysis, and post-incident improvements for production and business-critical systems.
• Optimizecloud spend through rightsizing, storage optimization, and cost visibility tooling such asAWS Cost Explorer.
• Support infrastructure and operational needs fordata and AI platforms, including reliable environments for data pipelines, analytics workloads, model-serving platforms, or AI-enabled applications.
• Contribute to engineering standards, documentation, runbooks, and platform best practices.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's or master'sdegree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on experiencein DevOps, cloud infrastructure, SRE, platform engineering, and/or DBA roles.
• Strong hands-on experience withAWS, including services related tocompute, networking, IAM, storage, monitoring, backup, and security.
• Proven experience withKubernetes, Terraform, Jenkins/GitHub Actions, and modern CI/CD practices.
• Strong experience indatabase administration, including backup/recovery, replication, patching, upgrades, performance tuning, and security hardening.
• Experience designing andoperatinghigh availability and disaster recovery solutions, includingmulti-region deployment patterns, failover testing, and RTO/RPO planning.
• Knowledge ofnetworking fundamentals, including VPCs, routing, ingress/egress, load balancing, DNS, VPN/private connectivity, and WAF.
• Experience withmonitoring, alerting, logging, and incident responsein cloud-native environments.
• Strong understanding ofcloud security best practices, including IAM, RBAC, encryption, key management, auditability, and compliance controls.
• Experience supportingdata platformssuch as relational databases, NoSQL systems, streaming platforms, or search/analytics platforms.
• Exposure toData/AI infrastructuresuch as ETL/data pipelines, data lakes/warehouses, model deployment environments, vector/search systems, or AI application support is highly preferred.
• Strong communicationand stakeholder management skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• AWS certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Solutions Architect, or Database Specialty.
• Experience withmulti-region AWS architecturefor production platforms.
• Experience withbackup automation, DR drills, and restore validation.
• Exposure to platforms such asOpenSearch, Kafka/MSK, Redis/MemoryDB, MongoDB/DocumentDB, RDS/Aurora, or similar systems.
• Familiarity withAI/ML platform operations,MLOpstooling, or infrastructure supporting data science and AI workloads.
