Job summary

Tekion seeks a seasoned Site Reliability Engineer in Chennai to design scalable monitoring, automate reliability tasks, and lead incident response for high‑traffic platforms. You will mentor junior engineers and partner with cross‑functional teams to uphold reliability standards.

You bring 5–7 years in SRE/DevOps, strong cloud and Kubernetes skills, and deep expertise in observability stacks and incident management. This on‑site role offers opportunities to shape Tekion’s cloud architecture.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience in site reliability engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Expertise in cloud‑native architecture (AWS, GCP, or Azure), Kubernetes, and distributed systems.
• Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, Go, Bash, Terraform, Ansible).
• Extensive experience with observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Splunk).
• Proven track record in incident management, root cause analysis, and performance tuning.
• Strong communication, leadership, and mentoring abilities.

Responsibilities

• Designs and implements scalable monitoring, alerting, and self-healing systems to maintain service availability.
• Leads incident response efforts for critical outages, driving root cause analysis and long‑term resolution strategies.
• Develops infrastructure automation and reliability tooling to support deployment, recovery, and scaling.
• Collaborates with engineering and DevOps teams to ensure reliability principles are embedded in product and platform design.
• Performs capacity planning, fault tolerance analysis, and performance optimization for high‑traffic systems.
• Mentors junior SREs and shares best practices in operational excellence, automation, and incident handling.

Summary

Leads key reliability initiatives and develops scalable, fault-tolerant infrastructure solutions across Tekion’s platform. Plays a pivotal role in incident response, automation, and performance optimization while mentoring junior engineers and improving operational maturity.

Duties & Responsibilities
