Russell’s Technology Application Services team is seeking an exceptional application developer to create highly scalable services and deliver world-class product experiences. You will work across multiple layers of the technology stack, from services to intelligent data solutions, collaborating with team members and other development teams to build applications that impress users. The environment is highly collaborative, fast-paced, and agile. You will learn and adopt Russell IT standards, tooling, and practices to enhance software quality, performance, and delivery.

Requirements and Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and maintain testable, reusable, and production-quality code in a financial services environment using Agile practices.
2. Leverage technical expertise and business understanding to create solutions that address strategic challenges and differentiate Russell Investments in the market.
3. Collaborate with business units to implement features and develop new prototypes and solutions.
4. Optimize application performance and stability proactively.
5. Communicate solutions effectively to team members and clients.
6. Handle analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation of complex systems.
7. Continuously seek improvements in processes and technologies.
8. Serve as a primary contact for user development questions and concerns.
9. Perform additional duties as assigned, adhering to Russell Investments' core competencies.

Preferred Expertise:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field; advanced degrees preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of software development experience, including at least 5 years in ETL development and data warehousing.
• Experience collaborating across teams and managing the full SDLC.
• Proficiency in SQL, SSIS, SSRS, and data modeling.
• Experience with reporting tools like Power BI or Cognos.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Ability to stay current with emerging technologies and applications.
• Experience with CI/CD practices.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Snowflake or Azure.
• Experience migrating ETL processes from SSIS to C# is a plus.
• Familiarity with C#, .NET Core, Python, SOA, and Web API is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills across all organizational levels.
• Experience with Git version control is a plus.
