Job summary

Clearwater Analytics in India is seeking an experienced Senior Software Development Lead to guide a team building scalable software used by financial institutions. You will lead design, coding, testing, and deployment in an agile environment, mentoring engineers and aligning delivery with product roadmaps.

The role requires 7+ years of software development, 2+ years of team leadership, strong CS fundamentals, and fluency in Java.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development experience.
• 2+ years of experience leading a development team.
• Strong knowledge of computer science fundamentals: OOD, data structures, algorithms.
• Fluent in Java or similar object-oriented language.
• Experience with large-scale web services.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).

• Leading a team to develop quality software that is used by some of the world’s largest technology firms, fixed income asset managers, and security traders on Wall Street

• Responsible for ensuring a team’s success, growth, and output

• Providing training, guidance, and mentorship to individuals on the team

• Participating in Agile meetings to contribute with development strategies and product roadmap

Requirements:

• Demonstrated ability to provide constructive feedback to team members

• Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, identify tasks, provide estimates and meet production deadlines

• Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle

• Ability to resolve conflict within and across teams and drive consensus to achieve common goals

• Ability to provide technical feedback and guidance on architecture, code review, and best practices

• 7+ years of experience in software development

• 2+ years of experience leading a development team.

• Demonstrated knowledge of computer science fundamentals - Object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms

• Fluent in Java or similar object-oriented language

• Experience in implementing and consuming large-scale web services

• Strong problem-solving skills
