Senior Python Application Developer

We are seeking an exceptionally skilled and driven Lead Python Application Developer to architect, develop, and deliver mission-critical enterprise applications within a high-performance Python ecosystem. This role demands a seasoned technologist with a proven track record of technical leadership, deep expertise in scalable system design, and a passion for driving innovation through cutting-edge Python development. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping our technical roadmap, mentoring engineering teams, and ensuring the robust, secure, and efficient execution of strategic initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive experience in application development and systems architecture, with a focus on Python-centric solutions.
• Experience leading end-to-end software development lifecycle (SDLC) from strategic planning and solution architecture to deployment and post-production optimization.
• Ability to lead cross-functional engineering teams, foster technical excellence, and enforce code quality standards through reviews and design critiques.
• Subject Matter Expert in advanced Python paradigms (asynchronous programming with asyncio, concurrency, parallel processing) with knowledge of FastAPI, Django REST Framework, and Flask.
• Mastery of enterprise architecture patterns (Microservices, Event-Driven Architectures with Kafka/RabbitMQ, Domain-Driven Design, GraphQL).
• Deep understanding of OOP and Functional Programming principles for modular, extensible, and maintainable codebases.

Core Technical Proficiency & Implementation Excellence

• Expert-level proficiency in Python 3.x for high-throughput, low-latency, fault-tolerant applications.
• Hands-on experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Redis) with advanced SQL optimization and schema design.
• Design and secure RESTful and gRPC APIs (OAuth2, JWT) with focus on idempotency, rate limiting, and robust error handling.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) and GitOps, for automated testing, building, and deployment.
• Extensive cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, GCP) including IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation), serverless (Lambda, Functions), and cloud-native services.
• Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes (Helm, Istio/Linkerd, CRDs).
• Strong troubleshooting, performance profiling, and optimization for distributed systems using Prometheus, Grafana, Jaeger, and instrumentation.
• Automated testing strategies (unit, integration, end-to-end, performance) using Pytest, Hypothesis, Selenium; practicing TDD.
• Secure coding practices, static/dynamic analysis, and handling vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10, encryption, Vault for secrets).
• Advanced Git workflows (Gitflow, Trunk-Based Development) with sophisticated branching and PR automation.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) Integration & Development

• Experience with AI/ML lifecycle from data preprocessing to deployment and monitoring using TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face, scikit-learn.
• Experience integrating AI tooling to enhance developer productivity (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Devin, Windsurf, Antigravity).
• Designing and deploying Agentic AI systems with custom agents and skills for automating development and operational workflows.
• Understanding Generative AI models (GPT, Gemini, Claude) for code generation, NLP tasks, and intelligent automation in the software pipeline.

Methodology & Professional Skills

• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum/Kanban and collaborative, iterative development.
• Exceptional organization and ability to manage multiple high-stakes tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven leadership in project management, stakeholder communication, resource optimization, and cross-functional coordination.

Desirable Qualifications
