Senior Designer – Role Overview
As a Senior Designer at Burson, you are expected to set a new bar for design (including layouts, graphics, motion graphics, etc.), collaborate and oversee projects through their entire process from conception to execution, translating marketing and branding strategies into innovative and impressive campaigns that stimulate target audiences.
Responsibilities
- Study design briefs and determine requirements.
- Collaborate closely with copywriters and the rest of the creative and account teams to ensure deadlines are met.
- Maintain strong proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, and other relevant design software.
- Conceptualize and execute visuals based on campaign requirements.
- Apply creative concepts across diversified media, including traditional and offline, digital, social, motion graphics, newsletters, brochures, etc.
- Work with copywriters and creative teammates to produce final designs.
- Amend designs after client or servicing feedback.
- Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and meet the client’s brief.
- Stay up to date with industry developments and design tools.
- Include work produced by Generative AI in your portfolio, describing tools, workflows, and prompts used.
- Be a team player to support the creative team in delivering high quality work.
- Create an inclusive and welcoming environment that engages all individuals without bias and demonstrates flexibility in a changing work environment.
- Embodied the company’s values.
- Follow agency procedures to manage client budgets, contract approvals, and billing rates.
- Use Burson’s intranet and resources; keep your profile updated.
- Act as a brand ambassador and help recruit top talent by knowing our capabilities and network.
- Adhere to confidentiality and disclosure agreements and the company code of ethics/conduct.
- Act with integrity, using ethical considerations to guide decisions.
Qualifications
- Strong conceptual and visual design skills across platforms, with at least 2-3 years of experience in a relevant field.
- Experience working on integrated campaigns (digital + offline).
- Proficiency in design tools and creative software.
- Understanding of branding, layout, and storytelling through visuals.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams.
- Experience handling feedback and delivering within timelines.
- Awareness of digital trends, social media, and emerging formats.
- Exposure to Generative AI tools and workflows in design.
