Job summary

Ramboll India in Gurgaon seeks a Senior Designer-BIM – Geotech to join our engineering centre. You will contribute to 3D ground modelling, prepare drawings, and coordinate with engineers to deliver accurate designs for international projects.

The ideal candidate holds a Diploma in Civil Engineering or ITI with 4+ years of experience, is fluent in English, and proficient in AutoCAD and Civil3D. Swedish project exposure is a plus, and you’ll work in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil Engineering or ITI with at least 4 years of experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil3D; knowledge of Novapoint Geosuite desirable.
• Excellent English written and spoken communication.
• Geotech/ground engineering knowledge; CAD-based 2D/3D modelling.
• Experience on international projects; Swedish project exposure is an advantage.
• Self-motivated, team player, able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Flexible with deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance to juniors and enhance competence of technicians.
• Assist in developing/implementing drafting standards.
• Draw 3D ground model per investigation reports; prepare plans and elevations.
• Coordinate with technical manager/engineers for input on drafting work.
• Produce detailed drawings and 3D models; ensure timely delivery.
• Proficient in tunnel drawing/modelling; interpret point cloud data.
• Adhere to project policies and company procedures.

Job Description

As our new Senior Designer-BIM – Geotech you will be part of a world class, innovation driven engineering design centre owned by an independent trust and its employees. REC is a highly sophisticated center of engineering excellence and based in our India head office in Gurgaon. Working in partnership with all our established offices globally, the Ramboll Engineering Centre (REC) is a centre for excellence in design by offering optimized solutions to the rest of the organization.

Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:

• Provides guidance and knowledge to juniors and works towards competence enhancement of other technicians within the team
• Will assist the project team towards developing/implementing draughting standards.
• Drawing of 3D ground model as per the investigation report, preparation of plan, section elevation drawings.
• Will coordinate & communicate with technical manager or concerned engineers for input of drafting work in each project.
• Will work on detailed drawings, calculations, and coordinate with other members of the team in accomplishing tasks, fluency in English is a must.
• Is responsible for technical correctness and timely delivery of the drawings, 3D models and documents.
• Conversance with Euro code, Swedish Geotech drawing standards will be an add-on.
• Proficient in tunnel drawing/modelling, interpretation of point cloud data.
• Exercises self-discipline and work ethic, respect and follow company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil Engineering or ITI Trained Professional with minimum of 4 years of professional experience. Candidate with B.Tech. will be preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD & Civil3D is mandatory. Knowledge in Novapoint Geosuite is desirable.
• A very good level of English written and spoken communication is mandatory for this role.
• Preferred knowledge in Geotech/rock/road or any filed covering any kind of ground engineering, but CAD based 2D and 3D modelling.
• Must have experience working on international projects. Swedish project experience is an advantage.
• Self-motivated, team player and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Flexible attitude, in an environment with frequently changing deadlines can be relied on to meet deadlines.
