Job summary

Ramboll Engineering Centre (REC) in Gurgaon invites a CAD Technician – Roads to join our global Transport division. You will produce 2D drawings, 3D models, and prepare road design drawings, coordinating with project managers and engineers to ensure timely delivery.

The ideal candidate has a Diploma in Civil Engineering or ITI with 5–7 years of experience, strong MicroStation 2D/3D and AutoCAD skills, and is experienced with general arrangement drawings and road junction layouts in international

• Strong knowledge of MicroStation 2D & 3D and AutoCAD.
• Experience in general arrangement drawings, plan & profile, layouts, road junctions, drainage drawings.
• Must have international project experience.
• Self-motivated, team player, able to work with minimum supervision.
• Flexible and able to meet changing deadlines.
• Commitment to personal development and widening experience.
• Good written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Work on design stage drawings to create 2D drawings and 3D models.
• Prepare road design drawings (Plan & Profile, cross sections, roundabouts, junctions).

• Ensure technical accuracy and timely delivery of drawings.
• Prepare road and junction drawings, utility modeling.

You will join our REC department

As our new CAD Technician – Roads, you will be a part of a world class, innovation driven engineering design center owned by an independent trust and its employees. REC is a highly sophisticated center of engineering excellence and based in our India head office in Gurgaon. Working in partnership with all our established offices globally, the Ramboll Engineering Centre (REC) is a center for excellence in design by offering optimized solutions to the rest of the organization.

Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:

• Will work on various design stage drawings for a range of projects to create 2D drawing/ models and 3D models and support other members of the drafting team in accomplishing complex tasks.
• Preparation of Road Design related drawings (Plan & Profile, cross sections, roundabout, Junction, interchange, GA drawings), working in 2D and 3D in MicroStation environment
• Will need to coordinate with project managers and/or engineers for drafting work in each project.
• Is responsible for technical correctness and timely delivery of the drawings and documents
• Preparation of all types of Roads and junction drawings, utility modelling
• Documenting and reporting, Modelling of utilities.
• Exercises self-discipline and work ethics
• Respect and follow company policies and procedures
• Carry out self-checks of his/her works as per company policy
• Maintaining filled-up documentations for all models and drawings

• Diploma in Civil Engineering or ITI Trained Professional with 5 to 7 years of professional experience.
• Strong knowledge of MicroStation 2D & 3D and any other design software like AutoCAD.
• Experience in preparation of general arrangement drawings, plan and profile, layouts, setting out drawings of urban/ rural roads, road junctions, road signages and drainage drawings is required
• Must have experience on international project
• Self-motivated, team player and able to work independently with minimum supervision
• Flexible attitude, in an environment with frequently changing deadlines can be relied on to meet deadlines
• Committed to both their work and personal development, with a willingness to widen their experience
• Knowledge of AutoCAD applications.
• Good level of written and spoken English.
