Job summary

Ramboll in India Gurgaon is seeking a Senior Engineer – Civil Structures to join our world-class engineering center. You will lead design and review of bridge projects, mentor junior engineers, ensure technical accuracy and timely delivery of 3D models and documents, and collaborate with global teams.

• M.Tech Structural Engineering with 6+ years experience, preferably from IITs/NITs.
• 6+ years of experience in bridge design; knowledge of Euro codes is mandatory.
• Experience on Swedish projects; knowledge of Sofistik with Eurocodes.

Responsibilities

• Carry out design and review of engineers and modelers' work; maintain deliverable quality.
• Participate in design and delivery of bridge projects; coordinate with drafting/modelling team.
• Mentor and supervise Asst. Engineers/Design Engineers; contribute to staff development.
• Ensure technical correctness and timely delivery of design documents and 3D models.
• Perform complex analyses using computer modelling.
• Participate in skill enhancements of the Team.
• Adhere to company policies and deadlines.

Job Description

As our new Senior Engineer – Civil Structures you will be part of a world class, innovation driven
engineering design center owned by an independent trust and its employees. REC is a highly sophisticated
center of engineering excellence and based in our India head office in Gurgaon. Working in partnership
with all our established offices globally, the Ramboll Engineering Centre (REC) is a center for excellence
in design by offering optimized solutions to the rest of the organization.

Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:

• Carry out the design and review of the work of Asst Engineer / Design engineers and modelers in the team and maintaining the quality of deliverables. Coordinate with
• Participate in the design and delivery of bridge projects, coordinate with other team members of the drafting/modelling team in accomplishing complex tasks.
• Mentoring and supervising Asst. Engineers/ Design Engineers and provide inputs to Team Lead for the continued development of the staff in the team.
• Is responsible for technical correctness and timely delivery of the design documents and 3D models corresponding to the design.
• Perform complex analysis using computer modelling.
• Participate in skill enhancements of the Team.
• Exercises self-discipline and work ethic, respect and follow company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• M.Tech Structural Engineering with 6+ years of experience (preferably from IITs/NITs)
• Should have more than 6 years of experience in bridge design. Knowledge of Euro codes is mandatory.
• Experience working on Swedish Projects/ Swedish National Annexes would be an added advantage.
• Good knowledge in detailed design of concrete, prestressed, steel composite bridges, underground metro stations using Sofistik with Eurocodes.
• Have hands-on experience in using any of the bridge design software Sofistik/StruSoft FEM Design.
• Working experience with contractor’s design units will be an advantage in addition to mandatory consultancy experience.
• Interest in computation design, automation and workflow standardisation will be an advantage.
• Should be a good team member and should coordinate with other team members and the project manager for timely delivery of project.
• Self-motivated, team player and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Flexible attitude, in an environment with frequently changing deadlines can be relied on to meet deadlines.
• Personal qualities that will help you succeed in this role include strong spoken and written communication skills.
