Purpose / Mission
As a Technical Leader within Atlas Copco GECIA Engineered Solutions, you will play a pivotal role in elevating the quality and reliability of engineering service delivery. You will lead intricate mechanical design projects focused on compressor and dryer solutions, ensuring that deliverables meet stringent timelines and quality standards with a "first-time-right" mindset. Your leadership will be instrumental in advancing the technical skills of your team and embedding operational excellence throughout the project lifecycle.

Role Overview
Your responsibilities will encompass full lifecycle management of high-complexity engineered solution projects—from initial design and development through to final delivery. Collaborating closely with cross-disciplinary teams, customers, and leadership, you will act as a trusted technical advisor and process expert. You will champion best practices in project execution, oversee design reviews, and diligently mentor team members to foster sustainable growth within the engineering function.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate mechanical design efforts on complex skid packages involving compressors and dryers, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and business objectives.
- Enhance engineering processes by integrating feedback, refining design methodologies, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Serve as a critical communication bridge between engineering teams, project stakeholders, and clients, managing expectations and reporting progress transparently.
- Cultivate a collaborative team environment focused on innovation, quality, and development of technical competencies.
You will report to the Service Delivery Head and play an integral role in aligning technical achievements with strategic business goals.

To succeed, you will need

• Technical Expertise: Proven mastery in mechanical design engineering with hands‑on experience in CAD software such as AutoCAD and Inventor 3D. Skilled in managing product data lifecycle tools including SAP and Enovia PLM for efficient project oversight and compliance.
• Demonstrated success in designing and delivering complex skid-package projects for compressors and dryers, showcasing deep knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, piping design, and industrial manufacturing standards.
• Strong understanding of international regulatory codes and standards such as ASME, CE marking, and API, ensuring all designs meet rigorous safety and quality thresholds.
• Minimum of five years’ relevant experience in mechanical engineering within compressor or drying systems industries, with a proven track record of managing projects to successful completion.
• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field, underpinning solid engineering fundamentals.
• Essential Skills: Innovative thinker with a proactive approach to problem‑solving and quality delivery. Excellent communicator adept at engaging diverse international teams and stakeholders.
