Job summary

Atlas Copco in Pune, India is seeking a Senior Design Engineer/ITBA Products & Solutions to drive design and development projects. You will interact with team leaders, prepare concept layouts, perform calculations, and deliver manufacturing drawings with release documentation.

You will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, manage schedules, ensure quality, and contribute to first-time-right outputs, while applying CAD tools and GD&T to complex assemblies.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in SPM, Automation, Fixture design.
• Experience in tightening solution designs is an added advantage.
• Hands on experience of conceptual design, Approval layout, manufacturing drawings creation is must.
• Performing design calculations is required.
• Hands on experience of Selection and validation of pneumatic cylinders, electrical motors, gear box.
• Good Experience of GD and T application is required.

Responsibilities

• Study the project inputs and collect data from internal stakeholders.
• Conduct or be a part of project kick off meeting with internal stakeholders.
• Freeze the scope of work and create tentative delivery schedule along with estimate for hours.
• Create concept/concepts along with necessary calculation and validations by using checklists.
• Conduct internal concept/design reviews.
• Update status sheets daily.
• Conduct quality checks of self and/or team’s output to ensure adherence to defined quality standards.
• Deliver error-free outputs — “FIRST TIME RIGHT”
• Should be having good interpersonal skills and should be good team player.

Senior Design Engineer/ ITBA Products & Solutions 1 1 Research and Development Pune India Hybrid Full-time

Your role

You will handle projects for design and development, interact with Team leaders, technical leader internal and external stake holders, inter team communication and present & discuss the concepts and final designs with supporting/required calculations.

You will be responsible for creating Approval layouts and final manufacturing drawings along with final release package and documentation for project.

• CAD Software- Hands on experience on SolidWorks (Solid modelling and 2D detailing) and Auto-CAD.(Solid Edge and Creo is an added advantage).
• PLM Software- Hands on experience on Windchill PDM Link (WGM) will be an added advantage.
• Project Management - Should be having good project management skills.
• Communication Skills- prior experience in engaging with international customers will be an added advantage.
