Job summary

L&T Precision Engineering and Systems is seeking a Senior Design Engineer (Hull Structures) to lead ship hull structural design and FEA analysis. The role requires collaboration across hydrodynamics, outfitting, piping, and production teams to deliver robust engineering solutions.

You will review calculations, ensure compliance with classification rules, mentor junior engineers, and advance design methodologies using ANSYS, NASTRAN, and HyperMesh.

Qualifications

• B.Tech or M.Tech in Naval Architecture or Mechanical Engineering.
• 5–7 years of experience in ship structural design and FEA.
• Experience with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute structural design and analysis of ship hull structures.
• Perform detailed finite element analysis (FEA) for structural integrity, fatigue, and strength assessment.
• Ensure compliance with classification society rules, statutory requirements, and company standards.
• Review and validate design calculations, drawings, and technical documents.
