Senior Structural Production Engineer

Job summary

Seagull International is seeking a seasoned Structural Engineer to oversee day-to-day marine and offshore structural activities in Mumbai. You will plan deliverables, coordinate with the Dubai team, manage budgets, and drive safe, cost-efficient project delivery while mentoring the engineering staff.

The role requires deep knowledge of EN/DIN/JIS/NORSOK/API/AISC standards, experience with shipyard production, and hands-on use of 3D modeling tools such as Tekla, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Engineering degree in Naval Architecture/Mechanical Engineering or technical equivalent.
• Total of 15 years relevant experience in shipyard, offshore / Oil & Gas industry in design and production engineering office.
• Have minimum 10 years experience with production engineering companies, hands-on exposure to a wide range of marine and offshore projects.
• Minimum 5 years working experience in shipyard, major production / construction sites and heavy industrial segments.

Responsibilities

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong technical knowledge of Marine and Offshore projects and structural engineering.
• Knowledge of material selection, grades, specifications, and material certificates for shipbuilding and offshore projects.
• Experience with structural design standards such as EN/DIN/JIS/NORSOK/API/AISC and classification standards including DNV, ABS, LR, and BV.
• Ability to identify and resolve technical issues during project engineering and execution.
• Strong understanding of engineering design methods, cost analysis, and scientific problem-solving techniques.
• Good knowledge of management, team motivation, performance management, and disciplinary procedures.

Education & Qualifications:
