Job summary

Magna International Inc. in Pune, India, is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to provide technical guidance and deliver project outputs within schedule and quality targets.

You will work on complete vehicle systems, coordinating with a cross-functional team. The role requires BE or DME in Mechanical/Automobile with 8–12 years of experience, hands-on Catia/Unigraphics and DMU expertise, plus strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• BE or DME in Mechanical/production/automobile stream is required.
• 8–12 years of relevant work experience for BE; 10–12 years for DME.
• Hands-on experience in complete vehicle systems (doors, closures, etc.).
• Proficient in Catia/Unigraphics and Digital Mock Up (DMU).
• Strong communication, teamwork and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance to deliver project-specific outputs within timeframes.
• Generate new concepts and master sections for vehicle architecture.
• Own components and sub-assemblies, ensure timely, accurate delivery.

Job Responsibilities:

Designation: Senior Design Engineer

Role Purpose: To provide technical guidance to the team members to deliver project specific outputs based on the work packages identified by team lead with expected level of quality and within acceptable timeframe.

Reporting to: Assistant Manager/ Manager.

Responsibilities:

Should be able to generate new concepts/master sections. Should have hands on experience in complete system e.g. Door, closures etc.

Role Requirement:

Educational Qualification:

BE / DME in Mechanical/production/automobile stream

No. of years of work experience:

If BE then 8-10 years. If DME then 10-12 years.
