Job summary

Cyient in Pune seeks a seasoned BE/ME Mechanical Engineer to lead design and integration tasks for heavy vehicles and related equipment. You will develop CAD models, assemblies and drawings for BOM creation in PDM, review manufacturing drawings, and ensure adherence to GD&T and established standards.

The ideal candidate has 7–10 years of experience in NPD for On/Off highway vehicles, strong knowledge of CATIA V5, PLM/PDM, and the ability to work independently on critical projects.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of NPD for on/off highway vehicles and related equipment.
• Strong understanding of heavy commercial vehicle sub-systems.
• Familiar with materials used in structural design.
• Technical concept development and VAVE knowledge.
• Solid grounding in design and engineering fundamentals, GD&T.
• Ability to build CAD models, assemblies, and drawings in PDM.
• Capable of handling critical tasks independently with quality and timely delivery.
• Review and validate manufacturing drawings per standards.
• Knowledge of PLM/PDM systems and engineering change management.
• Proficient in 3D modelling and drafting; CATIA V5.
• BE/ME Mechanical with 7–10 years experience.
• Hydraulic system knowledge is a plus.

Job description

• Knowledge of NPD of On / off highway vehicles, material handling or mobile equipment, vehicle integration of different automobile aggregates.
• Sound knowledge of different sub-systems in Heavy Commercial Vehicles, Tractor Trailers, Stackers, Forklifts etc.
• Should have knowledge about materials used in structural design.
• Technical concept development, knowledge of VAVE.
• Good understanding of design and engineering fundamentals, GD&T.
• Build CAD models, Assemblies, Drawings required for integration and BOM creation in PDM.
• Able to handle the critical tasks/projects independently, maintain the quality and follow delivery of assigned tasks/projects
• Review and validate manufacturing drawings in accordance with applicable standards.
• Knowledge of PLM, PDM system, Engineering change management
• Good knowledge of 3D Modelling / Drafting
• Good working knowledge of CATIA V5.
• BE / ME Mechanical Engineer with 7-10 years of experience.
• Hydraulic system knowledge will be added benefit.
