Job summary

Quest Global in Bengaluru is seeking a Senior Mechanical/Automotive Engineer with 5-10 years of experience to lead subsystem and component design for locomotives, automobiles and heavy industries. You will work on CAD modelling with SolidWorks, UG, and NX and use Teamcenter for data management.

The role requires strong GD&T knowledge, PMI/MBD experience, BOM handling, and leadership to mentor a project team.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech in Mechanical or Automotive engineering with 5–10 years' experience.
• Experience in CAD modelling and detailing using SolidWorks, UG, NX.
• Proficiency with Teamcenter 11 or above.
• Experience creating fabrication models and drawings and sheet-metal components.
• Strong GD&T knowledge, PMI/MBD environment, and BOM management.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop subsystem/ component for locomotives, automobiles, heavy industries.
• Lead and mentor project teams; ensure high quality and on-time delivery.
• Create fabrication models and drawings; develop sheet-metal components.
• Apply tolerance stack-up analysis and GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
• Collaborate across teams with strong communication.

Required Qualifications

• BE / B-Tech – Mechanical/Automotive Engineering
• Experience – 5 to 10 years

Required Skills and Experience

• BE – Mechanical Engineering / BE – Mechanical/Automobile (Secondary)
• 5-10 years of experience in CAD modelling & detailing using SolidWorks, UG, NX10 & above
• Experience with Teamcenter 11 and above
• Experience creating fabrication models and drawings
• Experience with sheet‑metal component models and drawings
• Expertise in PMI environment and creation of PMI models & drawings (MBD)
• Experience in engineering bill‑of‑materials creation, update and modification
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing drawing creation and drawing reading skills
• Knowledge of geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T)
• Familiarity with industry codes and standards such as ASME Y14.5
