Job summary

SAI Hr Consultants is seeking a Senior Design Engineer with strong experience in engine cooling and thermal management to lead design of cooling components. You will create 3D models, drawings and BOMs using Creo, ensuring compliance with ISO/ASME standards and manufacturability.

The role requires 9+ years in mechanical design, with exposure to sheet metal, castings and plastic parts, plus experience with large assemblies and NPD support.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of hands-on experience in PTC Creo (Pro-E).
• Experience in Engine Cooling Systems & Thermal Management Systems & Heat Exchanger Management Systems.
• Strong knowledge of Radiators, Charge Air Coolers, Oil/Fuel/Battery/Condenser cooling components.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop engine cooling system components using Creo; create 3D models, assemblies, drawings, and BOMs.
• Develop designs per ISO/ASME standards and ensure manufacturability before release.
• Handle large assemblies and support NPD from concept to production; perform GD&T and tolerance analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop engine cooling system components using PTC Creo (Pro-E).
• Create 3D models, assemblies, manufacturing drawings, and BOMs as per customer specifications.
• Develop designs in accordance with ISO/ASME standards.
• Handle large assemblies and support New Product Development (NPD) from concept to production.
• Perform GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis, and ensure manufacturability before drawing release.
• Design components involving:
  • Sheet Metal
  • Castings
  • Plastic Components
  • FRP Components
• Support Engineering Change Management (ECN) and production change implementation.
• Prepare BOMs and perform weight calculations.
• Participate in prototype development, reverse engineering, benchmarking, design reviews, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
• Ensure engineering documentation accuracy and adherence to quality standards.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

Experience

• Minimum 9 years of experience in Mechanical Design.
• Extensive experience in PTC Creo within the automotive industry.
• Exposure to Engine Cooling System products is mandatory.
