Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Design Coordinator – Solar PMC to manage engineering interfaces, design reviews, and technical coordination for utility-scale Solar PV and BESS projects. The role will ensure timely design approvals, IFC readiness, design compliance, and seamless coordination between EPC contractors, engineering teams, construction management, and commissioning stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of experience in solar, renewable energy, or power infrastructure projects.
• Minimum 4 years of design review or engineering coordination experience within PMC, Owner's Engineer, or EPC environments.
• Experience on utility-scale solar projects (250 MW+ preferred).
• Exposure to Solar PV, BESS, SCADA, MV systems, and grid interface design.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate review and approval of solar layouts, SLDs, MMS/tracker drawings, string plans, cable schedules, SCADA, and MV interface designs.
• Manage RFIs, technical queries (TQs), design comments, and multidisciplinary engineering interfaces.
• Ensure IFC drawings and approved revisions are available before construction activities commence.
• Track design changes, site modifications, and as-built documentation requirements.
• Coordinate engineering inputs for commissioning, punch-list closure, and HOTO documentation.
• Verify compliance with applicable IS, IEC, CEA, and utility/grid standards.
• Escalate design issues impacting project schedule, construction readiness, safety, or quality.

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate review and approval of solar layouts, SLDs, MMS/tracker drawings, string plans, cable schedules, SCADA, and MV interface designs.
• Manage RFIs, technical queries (TQs), design comments, and multidisciplinary engineering interfaces.
• Ensure IFC drawings and approved revisions are available before construction activities commence.
• Track design changes, site modifications, and as-built documentation requirements.
• Coordinate engineering inputs for commissioning, punch-list closure, and HOTO documentation.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil/Structural Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related discipline.
• Familiarity with engineering software such as STAAD Pro and ETAP is preferred.

Experience
