Job summary

UNO Digital Bank is seeking a Senior Data Analyst for its Asset COE in Bengaluru. The role requires 3+ years in BFSI/Fintech with expertise in SQL, Python, SAS and Advanced Excel to drive data-driven insights and automate reporting.

You will collaborate with Risk, Business, and Technology teams to analyze large datasets, build dashboards, define KPIs, and deliver concise recommendations to senior stakeholders across the bank.

Job Description – Senior Data Analyst – Asset COE

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Analyst with 3+ years of experience in the Banking and Financial Services industry to join our Data Analytics team at a fast-growing Digital Bank. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SQL, Python, SAS and Advanced Excel. This role involves working closely with the Risk, Business, and Technology teams to drive data-driven insights, automate reporting processes, and support strategic decision-making. You will work with large datasets, build dashboards, and partner closely with cross-functional teams to turn data into a competitive advantage.

• Preparing and maintain reports for the management (MI), business and other functions consumption to answer critical business questions, proactively identify notable trends and communicate business performance in a clear and articulate manner
• Analyse and interpret large datasets to provide actionable insights on portfolio performance, Credit decisioning, cohort, Vintage analysis etc
• Provide standard / non-standard data as per the business needs from standard data marts
• Collaborate with Business Analyst to define the business KPI and any data attributes/features
• Perform UAT, UVT and performance tests on new data
• Apply expertise in data mining and modelling leveraging multiple data sources to uncover unique insights, identify key performance drivers
• Consult with partners to develop metrics and reporting solutions that measure key inputs, outputs, and productivity of business operations
• Prepare concise, compelling written communications to present findings and recommendations to internal partners and document methods for transparency and continuity
• Collaborate with data and analytics teams across bank to leverage vast data sets, analytic tools, and other resources to advance the quality and timeliness of analysis
• Provide requirements for data analysis and data structure to improve ability to generate scalable analytic solutions

Qualifications and Skills:

• Educational qualification – Bachelors / Master in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) from any reputed institute
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in BFSI/ Fintech.
• Demonstrated analytical skills to work through complex problems, manipulate and analyse large data sets, and produce actionable business insights
• Proficiency in extracting and manipulating data using SAS, Python, SQL, PostgreSQL with a strong focus on data integrity and accuracy, Advanced Excel for ad hoc data analysis, modelling and visualization
• Demonstrated analytical skills to work through complex problems, manipulate and analyse large data sets, and produce actionable business insights
• Strong command over SQL for data extraction and transformation.
• Working experience in AWS environment for data access and analysis
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; ability to explain complex data to non-technical stakeholders.
