Job summary

Linxon seeks a Senior Database Engineer to manage SQL Server environments (2016/2019/2022) across on-prem and Azure, ensuring high availability, security, and optimal performance. You will lead migration projects to Azure, implement HA/DR solutions, and automate DBA tasks using PowerShell and T-SQL.

The role requires strong troubleshooting, collaboration with stakeholders, and experience with Always On, backups, and vulnerability remediation. Chennai, India based with on-site work expected.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of SQL Server Administration experience.
• Strong expertise in SQL Server 2016/2019/2022.
• Proven experience in On-Premises to Azure database migration projects.
• Experience with Azure SQL Database and Azure SQL Managed Instance.
• Strong knowledge of Always On Availability Groups, backup, and disaster recovery.
• Experience in SQL Server patching and vulnerability remediation.
• Basic Azure administration experience.
• Knowledge of PowerShell and SQL automation.
• Strong troubleshooting, stakeholder management, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer and support SQL Server 2016/2019/2022 environments across dev, test, staging and production.
