Job summary

JiBe is a cloud-based, fully integrated ERP for the shipping industry, seeking an experienced engineer to influence development and architecture. You will serve as the technical focal point for an agile team, leading design and delivery while coaching others to meet business requirements.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years in software development with Node.js, strong cloud and microservices experience, and a solid grasp of OOP/SOLID.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of software development experience with backend or full-stack focus.
• At least 2 years as web solution lead or technical lead for large-scale distributed cloud systems.
• Minimum 3 years of Node.js development and design experience.
• At least 2 years working with relational databases.
• Hands-on microservices architecture experience.
• Experience with development quality methodologies and testing.
• Familiarity with OOP, design patterns and SOLID principles.
• Strong interpersonal, planning and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication.
• Willingness to gradually become full-stack while focusing on backend.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 7 years software development experience (mainly backend or full stack development).
• At least 2 years as a web solution’s lead developer or a technical lead addressing large scale and distributed systems based on cloud computing infrastructure.
• A minimum of 3 years development and design experience with Node.js.
• A minimum of 2 years working with relational databases.
• Practical experience with microservices architecture.
• Practical experience with development quality methodologies and testing.
• Practical familiarity with OOP, design patterns and SOLID principles.
• Excellent interpersonal, planning, and organizational skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Self-driven and works well with minimal supervision as part of a diverse team.
• Proficiency in verbal and written English communication.
• Willingness to gradually become full stack while still maintaining a focus on backend development.

Advantageous Qualifications

A person cannot be an expert on everything, but if you have experience with one or more of the following, it can be an advantage for you and your team:

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience working with NoSQL databases.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and its services.
• Comfortable working with Windows and Linux as production environments.
• Experience with agile methodologies.
• Practical experience with one or more of the following: performance analysis and optimizations, application security, data streaming and additional cloud platforms.
