Job summary

Om Logistics Supply Chain Pvt. Ltd. in Delhi is seeking a senior backend engineer to design and build scalable services. You will work with Java, Node.js, and Python to deliver robust APIs and microservices in a cloud-native environment.

You will optimize databases, implement secure authentication, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines while mentoring junior engineers in an Agile setup.

Qualifications

• 4+ years backend development with Java, Node.js, and Python.
• Design and optimize SQL (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra).
• Knowledge of distributed queues (Kafka) and microservices.
• Design and build RESTful APIs and GraphQL.
• Familiarity with AWS and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes in microservices.
• Git for version control.
• Secure authentication (OAuth, JWT) and data encryption.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills; optimize performance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; document concepts well.
• Preferred: Transport Management and Warehouse Management Systems.
• Preferred: Serverless (AWS Lambda).
• Event-driven architecture knowledge.
• CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, CircleCI, GitLab).
• Agile/Scrum experience; collaboration with product teams.
• Leadership: mentoring and leading technical teams.
• Testing frameworks: JUnit, Mocha, PyTest.

Job description

• Experience: 4+ years of backend development experience with a strong focus on Java, Node.js, and Python.
• Databases: Expertise in designing and optimizing both SQL ( PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra) databases.
• Distributed Systems: In-depth knowledge of distributed queuing systems (e.g., Kafka) and how they integrate with microservices architectures.
• API Development: Strong experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and working with GraphQL.
• Cloud Infrastructure: Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS) and infrastructure-as code tools (e.g., Terraform).
• Microservices Architecture: Experience with building and maintaining microservices architectures, leveraging containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Version Control: Proficiency in using Git for version control.
• Security: Strong understanding of security practices, including secure authentication (OAuth, JWT), data encryption, and API security.
• Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and debugging skills to solve complex technical problems and optimize system performance.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly document and explain complex technical concepts. Preferred Qualifications:
