Job summary

Tekskills is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to join our Pan India operations in a hybrid role. The ideal candidate will manage SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases, optimize performance and ensure security across environments.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in CS/IT/Engineering and 5–7 years of DBA experience, with strong skills in writing stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers, and experience with MS/Azure database tools. Immediate joiners preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field.
• 5–7 years DBA experience with Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
• Expert in writing complex stored procedures, functions, views and triggers.
• Strong knowledge of clustering, data synchronization, encryption, partitioning, performance and security.
• MS/Azure database management and performance utilities.
• Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills; fast learner and team player.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL databases.
• Develop complex stored procedures, functions, views and triggers.
• Ensure clustering, data synchronization, encryption and partitioning for performance and security.
• Utilize MS/Azure database management and performance utilities.
• Collaborate with teams with strong analytics and communication.
