Job summary

Tekskills is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to manage and optimize our database environment across MS SQL Server and PostgreSQL. You will design, implement, and maintain robust data architectures in a hybrid Pan India setup.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of DBA experience, strong SQL skills, and a collaborative mindset to work with cross-functional teams on performance, security, and data integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field.
• 5-7 years of DBA experience with Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
• Expert in writing complex stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers.
• Strong knowledge of clustering, data synchronization, encryption, partitioning, performance and security.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain robust database architectures and data models.
• Develop and optimize stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers for performance and reliability.
• Ensure security, encryption, and access controls align with best practices.
• Monitor, tune, and troubleshoot SQL Server and PostgreSQL environments.
• Collaborate with application teams to design scalable data solutions.
• Implement data migration, replication, and clustering strategies as needed.
• Participate in problem-solving and root cause analyses across teams.

Role & responsibilities

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

• 5-7 years of DBA experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Postgress

• Expert in writing complex stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers

• Strong knowledge and extensive experience with database technologies supporting clustering, Data Synchronization, Encryption, Partitioning, Performance and Security

• Sound knowledge of MS/Azure database management and performance utilities

• Excellent analytical, Interpersonal and Communication skills, fast learner, hardworking and good team player

• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
