The ideal candidate will administer databases, perform tuning, backups, security, and automation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high availability and DR readiness.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of Oracle Database Administration experience.
• Experience with mission-critical production databases and 24x7 support.
• Proficient in Oracle RAC, Data Guard, ASM, RMAN, and OEM.
• Strong SQL and PL/SQL; Linux/Unix administration.
• Shell scripting and automation experience.
• Familiar with ITIL-based incident/change/problem processes.

Responsibilities

• Administer Oracle databases across Production, UAT, and Development.
• Install, patch, upgrade, and migrate Oracle databases.
• Manage Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, and OEM.
• Implement RMAN backup and recovery strategies.
• Perform database performance tuning.
• Monitor health, capacity, availability, and security.
• Coordinate deployments with cross-functional teams.
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident resolution.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for database administration, performance tuning, backup and recovery, high availability, security, upgrades, and automation across production and non‑production environments. Experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, ASM, RMAN, OEM, and cloud platforms is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer Oracle Database environments (11g, 12c, 19c, 21c, or later) across Production, UAT, and Development.
• Install, configure, patch, upgrade, and migrate Oracle databases.
• Manage Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, GoldenGate, and Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
• Implement and maintain backup and recovery strategies using RMAN.
• Perform database performance tuning.
• Monitor database health, capacity, availability, and security.
• Troubleshoot database issues, deadlocks, locking, blocking sessions, and performance bottlenecks.
• Implement database security controls, user management, auditing, TDE, and compliance requirements.
• Support high‑availability and disaster recovery solutions with regular DR testing.
• Automate DBA activities using Shell Scripting, Python, or Ansible.
• Coordinate with application, infrastructure, storage, and security teams during deployments and changes.
• Participate in production support, on‑call rotations, and critical incident resolution.
• Create and maintain operational documentation, SOPs, and recovery procedures.

Required Skills

• Strong expertise in Oracle Database Administration.
• Hands‑on experience with: Oracle RAC Oracle Data Guard ASM (Automatic Storage Management) RMAN Backup & Recovery Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) Performance Tuning & SQL Optimization Database Security & Auditing
• Strong SQL and PL/SQL knowledge.
• Experience with Linux/Unix administration.
• Shell scripting and automation experience.
• Understanding of storage, networking, and operating system concepts.
• Experience working in ITIL‑based environments with Incident, Change, and Problem Management processes.

Preferred Skills

• Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) administration.
• GoldenGate replication.
• Oracle Key Vault (OKV).
• CyberArk integration.
• Experience with cloud migrations and database modernization initiatives.
• Oracle Certification (OCP/OCE) preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 8+ years of Oracle Database Administration experience.
• Experience managing large‑scale production databases and 24x7 support environments.

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and lead complex database projects.
• Mentoring junior DBAs and driving operational excellence.
