Job summary

Persistent is seeking an experienced Senior Data Privacy Consultant to drive privacy, compliance, governance, and risk management across the organization. You will bridge business and technology teams to translate objectives into scalable, compliant solutions.

The role requires 8–12 years in data privacy, DPDP Act, TPRM, and governance, with strong stakeholder engagement and strategic problem-solving capabilities. Hybrid work and a focus on capability development are offered.

Qualifications

• 8 to 12 years of experience in data privacy, compliance consulting, risk management, or technology advisory roles.
• Strong expertise in Data Privacy regulations and DPDP Act requirements.
• Experience with Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) and vendor assessments.
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable, compliant solutions.
• Knowledge of ISMS frameworks, regulatory compliance, and audit processes.

Responsibilities

• Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, risk teams, compliance and technology to translate requirements into solutions.
• Drive solution design discussions, architecture reviews, POCs, and technical evaluations.
• Provide domain expertise on data privacy, DPDP compliance, risk management and governance.
• Collaborate with customers, leaders, architects, and delivery teams to propose industry-aligned solutions.
• Lead workshops and assessments to identify process improvements and compliance enhancements.
• Support implementation of privacy controls, governance frameworks, and risk practices.
• Ensure compliance with policies, regulatory requirements and ISMS standards.
• Drive third-party risk assessment and vendor governance to mitigate risks.
• Facilitate stakeholder alignment and data-driven decision-making.
• Monitor progress, quality, compliance objectives, and risk mitigation activities.
• Contribute to capability development through mentoring and knowledge sharing.
• Promote innovation and domain excellence across programs.

The ideal candidate will act as a strategic bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams, translating business objectives into scalable and compliant solutions. This role requires expertise in Data Privacy, DPDPA, Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM), governance frameworks, business transformation, and stakeholder engagement while ensuring adherence to regulatory and organizational requirements.

What You'll Do:

• Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, risk teams, compliance functions, and technology teams to translate business requirements into effective solutions.
• Drive solution design discussions, architecture reviews, proof-of-concepts (POCs), and technical evaluations supporting business transformation initiatives.
• Provide domain expertise and recommendations on data privacy, DPDPA compliance, risk management, and governance practices.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• 8 to 12 years of experience in data privacy, compliance consulting, risk management, business transformation, solution consulting, or technology advisory roles.
• Strong expertise in Data Privacy regulations and Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA) requirements.
• Hands-on experience in Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM), vendor assessments, and risk governance frameworks.
• Proven ability to translate business requirements into scalable functional and technical solutions.
• Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, solution design, business process transformation, and technology ecosystems.
• Experience driving privacy-by-design, compliance, governance, and risk management initiatives.
• Knowledge of ISMS frameworks, regulatory compliance requirements, and audit processes.
• Experience working with customers, business leaders, architects, and global delivery teams.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
• Strategic mindset with excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to identify process improvement opportunities and deliver business value through technology-led solutions.
