This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Data Ingestion Engineer based in India.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Ingestion Engineer to design, develop, and support enterprise-scale data integration solutions across diverse technology environments. In this role, you will build and manage robust data ingestion pipelines using Fivetran, connecting SAP and non-SAP systems, relational databases, SaaS applications, and cloud and on-premises platforms. You will play a key role in enabling reliable data movement, ensuring data availability, and supporting scalable enterprise analytics and business operations. Your expertise in database replication, Change Data Capture (CDC), and incremental data loading will help optimize ingestion performance while protecting source-system stability. Working in a fully remote, collaborative environment, you will partner with technical stakeholders to deliver secure, efficient, and cost-effective data solutions. Accountabilities

• Design, develop, configure, and maintain enterprise-grade data ingestion pipelines using Fivetran.

• Build and manage Fivetran connectors for heterogeneous source systems, including Oracle, IBM DB2, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, other relational databases, SaaS applications, and cloud-hosted or on-premises environments.

• Configure and support initial full loads, incremental data loads, and Change Data Capture (CDC) ingestion patterns to meet business and technical requirements.

• Implement and maintain Oracle-based CDC and incremental replication strategies using Fivetran.

• Establish secure, reliable connectivity between Fivetran and enterprise source systems across on-premises and cloud environments.

• Design ingestion architectures that account for scalability, throughput, latency, data reliability, security, source-system impact, and operational costs.

• Monitor ingestion pipeline performance, troubleshoot connectivity and replication issues, and implement improvements to maintain reliable data delivery.

• Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to understand source-system requirements and deliver ingestion solutions aligned with enterprise data objectives.

• Take ownership of assigned tasks, communicate progress and technical challenges clearly, and contribute to continuous improvement in data ingestion practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline is preferred; equivalent education and professional experience may also be considered.

• At least six years of experience in non-SAP data ingestion, including the design, implementation, and support of enterprise data integration solutions.

• Strong hands-on experience with Fivetran connectors and the configuration and management of data ingestion pipelines.

• Practical experience integrating cloud-hosted databases and applications, including Oracle, IBM DB2, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and other relational database technologies.

• Experience working with SaaS applications and on-premises databases in enterprise environments.

• Solid understanding of full-load and incremental ingestion methods, CDC, and database replication concepts, including Oracle-based replication patterns.

• Ability to configure secure connectivity between ingestion platforms and source systems across cloud and on-premises infrastructure.

• Understanding of data pipeline performance considerations, scalability, reliability, latency, security, and source-system resource utilization.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain technical issues and coordinate effectively with relevant stakeholders.

• A proactive learning mindset, strong accountability, and the ability to take ownership of assigned responsibilities.

• Ability to work effectively in a remote environment and perform computer-based tasks for extended periods, with occasional movement required for meetings or related activities.
