Job summary

Credit Saison India invites a Senior Data Analyst to drive end-to-end analytics for Risk, Finance, Operations and Leadership. You will design key metrics, build complex SQL models, and develop executive dashboards in Tableau or Power BI, while ensuring data governance and a scalable analytics architecture across cloud warehouses.

You will mentor junior analysts, optimize data pipelines with dbt and Airflow, and contribute to fintech lending insights, vintage analysis, and KPI reporting for

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering, CS, Statistics, Math or related quantitative field from a top-tier institute.
• 3–5 years in data analytics, BI, or quantitative analysis, preferably fintech/banking/NBFC.
• Expert-level SQL for complex queries, window functions, CTEs, performance tuning, data modeling on cloud warehouses.
• Advanced expertise in Tableau or Power BI, including semantic layer, LOD, calculations, and server administration.
• Proficiency with Python or R for data analysis and modeling.
• Deep understanding of retail lending metrics, credit risk dynamics, portfolio monitoring and KPI insights.
• Excellent ability to present findings to C-suite and cross-functional leaders.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end data analytics lifecycle across Risk, Finance, Operations and Leadership.
• Own advanced BI dashboards and standardized KPIs with Tableau or Power BI.
• Query and optimize data models across Snowflake/BigQuery/Redshift.
• Develop insights on loan portfolio performance, risk scoring, vintage analysis, CAC, LTV.
• Build automated data workflows using Python/R and orchestration tools.

Roles and Responsibilities

This role requires a high level of analytical rigor, advanced data manipulation expertise, and strategic problem-solving capabilities. As a Senior Data Analyst, you will lead the end-to-end data analytics lifecycle—from defining key business metrics and querying complex data warehouses to building advanced statistical models, automating executive dashboards, and driving data-informed decisions across Risk, Finance, Operations, and Business Leadership.

Core Responsibilities

• Advanced BI & Executive Dashboarding: Oversee the architecture, design, and deployment of scalable, high-performance executive dashboards in Tableau or Power BI. Establish standardized KPIs and visualization best practices across teams.
• Complex Data Querying & Analytics Architecture: Write, optimize, and audit expert-level SQL queries and data models across cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift) to enable efficient analytics and reporting.
• Fintech Insight Generation & Predictive Analytics: Deep-dive into loan portfolio performance, risk scoring, vintage analysis, portfolio health (PAR, NPL, DPD), customer acquisition cost (CAC), lifetime value (LTV), and underwriting efficacy to provide actionable recommendations to leadership.
• Statistical Analysis & Automation: Leverage Python or R to perform statistical analyses, hypothesis testing, cohort analysis, predictive modeling, and automated data processing workflows.
• Cross-Functional Leadership & Governance: Partner with cross-functional stakeholders in Risk, Finance, Product, Tech, and Operations to translate complex business objectives into analytical frameworks, ensure data governance, and maintain strict data accuracy standards.
• Mentorship & Standards: Mentor junior analysts, establish code review and testing practices for analytical scripts and SQL models, and promote data-driven culture across the organization.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related quantitative field from a Tier-1 institute (e.g., IIT, NIT, BITS, or equivalent top-tier college).

Experience

3–5 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or quantitative analysis, preferably with at least 1 year in Fintech, Banking, NBFC, or Financial Services.

SQL Mastery (Mandatory)

Expert-level command of SQL for complex query optimization, window functions, CTEs, performance tuning, and data modeling on cloud data warehouses.

BI Tool Expertise (Mandatory)

Advanced expertise in Tableau or Power BI, including semantic layer development, complex calculations (LOD expressions), parameters, performance optimization, and server/cloud administration.

Advanced Analytics & Scripting (Mandatory)

Hands-on proficiency with Python or R for data analysis, manipulation, and statistical computing using libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, and Scikit-learn.

Fintech & Lending Domain Knowledge

Deep understanding of key retail lending metrics, credit risk dynamics, portfolio monitoring, vintage curves, and financial KPIs.

Stakeholder Management & Communication

Excellent capability to present analytical findings and strategic narratives directly to C-suite and executive leadership.

Desired Skills (Bonus Points)

• Professional BI Certification (e.g., Tableau Certified Data Analyst, Power BI Data Analyst Associate).
