Job summary

Parekh E-com & Warehousing Services Pvt Ltd in Navi Mumbai is seeking a Senior Cost Estimator with 3+ years’ experience in costing, GL accounting, reconciliation and SAP/ERP. The role requires strong accounting knowledge, analytical skills and coordination with cross-functional teams.

The candidate will handle variance analysis, pre-costing, MAP movements, and stock reconciliations, with a focus on accuracy and timely reporting. English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Costing, GL Accounting and Reconciliation.
• Candidates without relevant Costing experience should not apply.
• Hands-on experience with SAP or other ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Review product cost estimates and perform variance analysis.
• Conduct pre-costing roll analysis and resolve errors.
• Analyze MAP movements and justify variances.
• Coordinate with Plant, Inventory, and Cost Accounting teams for reconciliations.
• Reconcile system stock with physical inventory and ensure appropriate adjustments.
• Handle New Material ID (NMI) creation requests and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to global timelines and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Perform operational costing following defined SOPs.
• Identify issues from data and propose solutions.
• Support continuous improvement of costing processes.

Job Summary:
We are looking for a Senior Cost Estimator with relevant experience in Costing, GL Accounting, Reconciliation, Variance Analysis and SAP/ERP. The ideal candidate should have strong accounting knowledge, analytical skills and experience working with cross-functional stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Review product cost estimates and perform variance analysis between current and future standard costs.
• Perform pre-costing roll analysis and resolve errors in accordance with global work processes.
• Analyze Moving Average Price (MAP) movements and variances and provide justification for items exceeding defined thresholds.
• Conduct paper reconciliation in coordination with Plant, Inventory, Supply Chain and Cost Accounting teams.
• Reconcile differences between system stock and physical inventory and ensure appropriate justification and adjustment entries.
• Handle daily New Material ID (NMI) creation requests and coordinate with stakeholders to resolve dependencies.
• Ensure adherence to global timelines and effectively manage stakeholder expectations.
• Perform operational costing and accounting activities with moderate supervision, following defined SOPs.
• Analyze partial or conflicting data, identify key issues and trends, and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Support continuous improvement and ensure accuracy and compliance across costing processes.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Costing, GL Accounting and Reconciliation.
• Candidates without relevant Costing experience should not apply.
• B.Com / M.Com preferred.
• CMA / CA / MBA will be an added advantage.
• Hands-on experience with SAP or other ERP systems.
• Strong knowledge of MS Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Good accounting and reconciliation knowledge.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Fluent in English.
