Job description

The AGM - F&A will lead and manage the organization's finance & accounts function with primary responsibility for Corporate Accounting, Taxation, banking operations, fund management, Company Secretarial, working capital planning, and maintaining strong relationships with banks and financial institutions. The role ensures timely availability of funds, compliance with banking requirements, and supports business growth through effective financial planning and risk management.

Responsibilities
  • Manage all banking and finance-related operations for the organization.
  • Liaise with banks and financial institutions for working capital limits, term loans, BGs, LCs, and other banking facilities.
  • Prepare CMA data, financial projections, and documentation required by banks.
  • Monitor cash flow, fund flow, and working capital requirements.
  • Ensure timely submission of stock statements, financial statements, and other documents to banks.
  • Handle loan documentation, renewals, and compliance with banking covenants.
  • Coordinate with auditors, bankers, and statutory authorities.
  • Monitor daily banking transactions, reconciliations, and treasury operations.
  • Ensure timely repayment of loans, interest, and statutory financial obligations.
  • Support management in budgeting, financial planning, and strategic decision-making.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize finance costs and improve cash management.
  • Lead and mentor the finance team while ensuring adherence to internal controls.
Qualifications
  • CA (Mandatory)
Experience :

8–12 years of relevant post-qualification experience in Accounts & Finance.

Job Responsibilities/ KRA
  • Ensure quarterly and annual finalization of books of accounts.
  • Preparation & review of Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow Statements.
  • Ensure compliance with Accounting Standards & applicable laws.
  • Coordinate with Statutory Auditors & Internal Auditors.
  • Present financial MIS to CFO / MD / CMD.
Banking & Treasury Management
  • Daily monitoring of bank balances and fund position.
  • Supervise:
  • Bank reconciliations (monthly)
  • Fund transfers
  • LC/BG documentation
  • Loan compliance and interest servicing
  • Ensure proper utilization of working capital limits.
  • Monitor borrowing cost and optimize interest burden.
  • Ensure timely submission of stock statements & CMA data (if required by bank).
  • Maintain strong banker relationships.
Income Tax Compliance & Assessment Handling
  • Ensure timely filing of Income Tax Returns.
  • Handle Income Tax assessments, scrutiny cases, and notices.
  • Prepare documentation and submissions for tax authorities.
  • Coordinate with tax consultants and legal advisors.
  • Monitor tax demands and pursue rectification/appeals.
  • Review and finalize:
  • GSTR-1
  • GSTR-3B
  • GSTR-9 / 9C
  • Ensure monthly reconciliation of GSTR-2B with purchase register.
  • Validate Input Tax Credit eligibility.
  • Monitor reverse charge compliance.
  • Handle GST notices, audits and departmental queries.
Internal Controls & Compliance
  • Receipts & payments
  • Expense approvals
  • Ensure maker-checker control system.
  • Ensure compliance with:
  • Income Tax Act
  • GST Act
  • Companies Act (financial provisions)
Periodic internal financial review to identify leakages or irregularities
