Job summary

KUKU is seeking a seasoned Meta-first screenwriter to craft promo scripts for microdramas across Facebook and Instagram formats, including Reels, feeds, stories, and short promos, with compelling hooks.

You will translate complex storylines into concise promos, analyze top Meta content, and collaborate with editors and designers to ensure copy, visuals, and on-screen text align. 4–6 years of experience required.

• Write high-impact promo scripts for microdramas across Facebook and Instagram formats - Reels, feed videos, stories, and short promos - crafting strong hooks, captions, and opening lines that establish the core drama within seconds.

• Translate complex storylines and character arcs into short, punchy promo narratives without losing emotional impact.

• Analyse top-performing Meta content and audience response to identify effective storytelling patterns, and evolve promo writing by refining tone, pacing, and structure using both creative judgement and performance insights.

• Collaborate closely with video editors, graphic designers, and content teams to ensure copy, visuals, and on-screen text work seamlessly together.

• Stay updated on Meta trends, audience behaviour, and content formats, and apply these insights creatively to promo storytelling.

What We’re Looking For

• 4–6 years of experience in Meta-first screenwriting or promo writing for OTT platforms, web series, films, or D2C brands.

Strong storytelling instincts with a clear understanding of short-form hooks, pacing, emotional beats, and payoff for Facebook and Instagram.
