Job summary

Apexon in Ahmedabad is seeking an experienced Content Engineer to manage HTML/CSS/XML/JavaScript based content, EPUB workflows, and automate bulk updates with Node.js or Python.

You will ensure accessibility and cross-browser compatibility, collaborate with content, engineering and support teams, and maintain documentation.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of relevant experience in Content Engineering, Digital Publishing, Content Support, E-Publishing, or related areas.
• Hands-on experience with: HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript / jQuery, EPUB / ePub, MathML.
• Experience with Adobe InDesign.
• Experience with web accessibility and cross-browser compatibility.
• Git/version control.
• Experience developing scripts using Node.js or Python for bulk content updates or automation.

Responsibilities

• Resolve content-support tickets involving HTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript, jQuery, and MathML.
• Troubleshoot and implement content fixes across web and EPUB formats.
• Perform content corrections and formatting updates using Adobe InDesign.
• Work with EPUB and structured digital content and ensure content quality across supported formats.
• Develop and maintain Node.js/Python scripts for bulk content updates and content transformation.
• Perform content validation and troubleshooting across different browsers and platforms.
• Ensure content meets web accessibility and cross-browser compatibility standards.
• Work with Git for version control, code/content management, and maintaining version-control hygiene.
• Collaborate with content, engineering, and support teams to investigate and resolve content-related issues.
• Identify repetitive manual content activities and develop automation solutions to improve efficiency.
• Maintain documentation for content fixes, scripts, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.
