Position Summary
Pratham’s Early Years team is looking for a passionate Senior Content Associate – Early Years to design and develop high-quality educational content for children aged 3 to 6 years. This role is anchored within the Urban Anganwadi Model Program, which strengthens school readiness across five urban geographies: Agra, Lucknow, Rampur, Varanasi, and Patna. The role involves creating developmentally appropriate and contextually relevant learning materials for children, families, and educators. Content will be delivered through print, play-based, and digital formats, with a strong emphasis on cultural, linguistic, and socio-economic diversity. We are seeking individuals with experience in early childhood education, strong foundations in child development, and creativity in content design.
Key Responsibilities
1. Content Development
- Review and evaluate ECCE content, textbooks, and teaching materials used in Anganwadis, schools, and Pratham programs.
- Develop engaging activities, stories, poems, worksheets, and games across developmental domains.
- Collaborate with content developers, trainers, and teachers to integrate pedagogical trends and best practices.
2. Training & Capacity Building
- Design training modules, toolkits, and session plans for educators in low-resource settings.
- Build the capacities of Pratham and government teams across central and field levels.
- Conduct training workshops for educators and Anganwadi workers.
3. Program Management & Support
- Liaise with government stakeholders and support state teams in program planning and implementation.
- Assist with communications efforts (events, advocacy, collaborations, conferences, and social media).
- Support data collection, monitoring, and reporting to strengthen program design and outcomes.
- Document early years initiatives for internal and external stakeholders.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Master’s degree in Education, Child Development, Psychology, Social Work, or related field.
- 4–5 years of experience in the education sector, preferably in early childhood education or foundational learning.
- Strong understanding of ECCE pedagogy, frameworks, and learning outcomes (ages 3–6).
- Prior experience in content development, research, or field-based studies preferred.
- Proficiency in English and Hindi (reading, writing, comprehension, and communication).
- Skilled in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Google Suite (Docs, Slides, Sheets).
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities to handle multiple priorities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in diverse cultural and multilingual contexts.
- Willingness to travel to urban Anganwadi centers and program sites as required.
