Responsibilities

1. Lead complex payments transformation projects from strategy and design to delivery phase.
2. Assess technology architecture in the financial/banking domain and design target state application/technology architecture.
3. Participate in cross-functional, cross-discipline architecture teams to enhance/set architectural direction for key business initiatives.
4. Manage trade-offs to ensure speed to market, quality, and consider business/financial impacts.
5. Perform as-is technical assessments and technical due diligence of the payments architecture setup for clients.
6. Assess the IT maturity of the payments ecosystem for clients.
7. Discuss payments requirements (functional/technical) with customers and create ‘to be’ solution documents.
8. Work on consulting assignments such as go-to technology strategies, functional/technical architecture, integration architecture, and technology due diligence for fintech/financial institutions.

Required Skills

1. 6-10 years of experience in payments implementation projects, including at least 1 end-to-end payments implementation as a solution architect.
2. Basic understanding of payments/financial solution architecture.
3. Strong payments domain experience in retail/corporate payments, including high-value, low-value, immediate payments, SWIFT cross-border payments, salary payments, bulk payment processing, card payments, UPI payments, etc.
4. Knowledge of P2P/B2B/B2C/G2P payment applications, channels.
5. Experience in designing technology specifications for payment products and understanding message standards like ISO 20022, ISO 8583, SWIFT, SEPA, and API standards.
6. Strong knowledge of cloud and on-prem infrastructure, data and payments security (PCI DSS/PA DSS compliance), integration architecture, and latest technological innovations.
7. Problem-solving skills and experience handling complex transformation projects.
8. Client-facing experience as a Techno-functional Analyst, Tech Product Manager, or Project Manager in payments projects.
9. Excellent communication, client handling, and interpersonal skills.
