• BD & funder management: own conversations with foundations, philanthropies, and CSR, from proposal to close.
• Deliver innovation engagements: conduct TRL assessments, design funder-ready briefs, present findings.
• Develop and manage Impact Measurement Frameworks with custom metrics and annual reviews.
• Support Capital Raise Advisory: structuring term sheets and managing funder‑innovator timelines.

The Opportunity

This early‑stage role is part of an emerging practice. As a founding team member you will inspire and guide stakeholders to achieve intended outcomes through innovative strategy and implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Business Development & Funder Management
  • Own a portfolio of active funder conversations across domestic foundations, international philanthropies, and CSR from proposal to close.
  • Lead the preparation of client proposals, Innovation Scan briefs, and advisory decks.
  • Support anchoring the roundtable series, flagship events, and other marketing channels.
  • Ensure follow‑through on every warm funder contact, preventing any relationship from falling through the cracks.
• Client Delivery
  • Lead delivery of innovation engagements, conducting TRL assessments, synthesizing funder‑ready impact briefs, and presenting findings to client stakeholders.
  • Build and manage Impact Measurement Frameworks by designing custom metrics, milestone tracking systems, and annual review structures.
  • Support Capital Raise Advisory – structuring term sheets, facilitating funder‑innovator conversations, and managing deal timelines.
• Thought Leadership & Knowledge Research
  • Co‑author research papers, policy briefs, and long‑form blog content.
  • Contribute to building the practice’s proprietary methodologies.
  • Monitor the Indian and global innovation philanthropy landscape.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of experience in strategic consulting for science and technology‑led initiatives, or innovation management at research institutes, accelerators, or venture studios.
• Project management and stakeholder engagement across corporates, consulting firms, social enterprises, or development agencies.
• Strong analytical and financial acumen with hands‑on experience in data analysis.
• Solid understanding of the innovation and science‑based research landscape in India and globally.
• Client‑facing experience with a proven track record in stakeholder management and delivering strategic advisory.
• Problem‑solver with strong communication and presentation skills, capable of navigating ambiguity and driving outcomes.
• Preferred: Graduation in a science stream; MBA/M.Tech/MS or equivalent; prior team leadership is a plus.
• Demonstrates humility, curiosity, and a growth mindset, with a self‑starter attitude and willingness to learn.
• Flexibility to travel.
