Job summary

Quest Global in Bengaluru is seeking an experienced Renewable Energy Technical Lead to drive project development across PV, BESS and wind sectors. You will oversee technical due diligence, design and EPC technical appendices, and coordinate with multiple stakeholders to ensure value and compliance.

The role requires leadership of a cross-functional team, strong hands-on technical expertise, and a track record of delivering large-scale renewable projects in India and EMEA markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
• Master’s in Renewable Energy is preferable.
• Experience with PV, BESS and Wind technologies is expected.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities

• Focusing on projects in New Markets in particular and across the EMEA region, support the Project Development process (including Acquisitions), across all technical aspects.
• Act as a single point of contract for the overall technical and engineering needs of the project, closely liaising with internal stakeholders (Business development, Power Markets, Structured Finance, Legal, etc)
• Lead the Technical Due Diligence (Acquisition and/or Financing) and manage internal and external service providers.
• Undertake Energy YieldAssessments (EYA).
• Undertake LCOE optimisation and analysis for new projects.
• Mentor junior colleagues and promote best engineering practices in the team and across the business.
• Proactively pursue improvements in the internal procedures and work processes to align the team and the business with latest advances in technology and innovation in the market.
• Support the assessment of new technologies (modules, inverters, structures, wind turbines (WTGs), BESS).
• Lead the development of Basic Design,including instructing layouts and SLDs.
• Lead the development of EPC ContractTechnical Appendices.
• Support ProjectManagers as neededacross all technicalaspects during construction period, Works Completion, PAC and FAC.
• Coordinate and manageTechnical Advisors (OE, LTA, etc) locally and internationally.
• Review EPC Contractor bids,reports, orders, etc for compliance with Owner’s Requirements and EPC Contract appendices.
• Undertake site visits to both new greenfield sitesand sites underconstruction.
• Support on engineering analysis of curtailment, performance evaluation of new technologies, etc

Experience

Work Experience

• 7+ years of experience in the RenewableEnergy industry, on both Solar PV and Windsectors.
• Experience/expertise in BESS and Hydrogentechnologies is a strong plus.
• Experience in undertaking EnergyYield Assessment (EYA) and good knowledge of pertinent factors affecting PV, BESS and Wind plant performance.
• Experience with large-scale Solar PV, BESS and Windfarmprojects in the region, working either on the Developer, EPC Contractor, or Technical Advisor side

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Masters in Renewable Energy or relatedfield preferable

Knowledge

• Good knowledge of PV, BESS and Wind generating technologies and constituent components (modules, inverters, structures, trackers, batteries, WTGs, etc).
• Good knowledge of EPC / O&M contracts, including Technical Appendices.
• Good understanding of PPAs, Grid Connection Agreements and technical inputsto Financial Models.
• Knowledge of simulation softwareincluding PVsyst and WAsP or similar (AutoCAD, ArcGIS or other Solar, Wind or Battery (BESS) modelling software is a plus).
• Good knowledge of the main players in the industry(Technical Advisors, investors, EPCs, TSO/DNOs, etc).
