Role Objective:

The Collections Manager is responsible for minimizing delinquency and credit losses across the SME lending portfolio while maintaining excellent customer relationships. The role will lead end-to-end collections from early-stage reminders through recoveries and legal escalation and develop data-driven strategies that optimize recovery rates without compromising customer experience or regulatory compliance. Work with the tech team to automate and implement the various aspects of collections.

Required Experience:

• – 8-9 years of experience
• – Bachelors degree in Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, Accounting or a related field.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Collections Strategy:

• – Design and implement collections strategies for SME loan products.
• – Develop bucket-wise strategies (1-30, 31-60, 61-90, 90+ DPD).
• – Improve roll rates, cure rates, and recovery percentages.
• – Reduce portfolio delinquency and credit losses.

2. Portfolio Management:

• – Monitor and Analyze portfolio performance daily and delinquency trends.
• – Recommend proactive interventions for high-risk accounts.

3. Customer Engagement and Operations:

• – Lead customer negotiations for overdue accounts.
• – Build early warning system.
• – Structure repayment plans and settlements.
• – Maintain strong customer relationships while enforcing payment discipline.
• – Handle escalated customer disputes.

4. Agency & Legal Management:

• – Manage and Monitor external collection agencies.
