Job summary

Jobtailor is looking for an IP DRG coder/auditor in Chennai to ensure accurate coding and auditing across IP DRG processes. The role requires 2+ years’ experience in IP DRG coding or auditing, strong Excel skills, and adherence to SOPs and HIPAA/OIG compliance. CCS or CIC certifications are desirable.

The candidate will follow project protocols, escalate issues, and maintain logs daily, while working under supervision to meet quality and production targets.

• Proficient in Excel and data interpretation.

Responsibilities

• Complete received Audits with Quality.
• Achieve Quality and production targets.

• Update productivity and logs daily.
• Check with Manager /TL for clarifications.
• Respond to manager emails promptly.
• Ensure HIPAA and OIG compliance by the team.
• Demonstrate flexibility in duties.

Responsibilities

• Follow every aspect of SOP without fail
• Complete received Audits with Quality
• To achieve Quality and production target
• Follow project related protocols and instructions
• Escalate issues, identify trends...
• Update all the logs like productivity, Clarification log, and any other logs applicable, daily
• Check with Manager /TL in case of clarifications
• All emails from Manager should be answered promptly without fail
• Ensure compliance of entire team for HIPAA, OIG

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in nursing (preferable) / Bachelor of Science.
• Certification - Mandatory CCS - Certified Coding Specialist, CIC - Certified Inpatient Coder
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in IP DRG coding or auditing.
• Good Excel skills
• Hard Skills: IP DRG coding, auditing, Excel.
• Soft Skills: flexibility, communication, problem-solving, attention to detail.
• Certifications & Qualifications: CCS - Certified Coding Specialist, CIC - Certified Inpatient Coder.
