Job summary

Blackbaud India is seeking a Sr. Security Engineer to strengthen and scale cloud security across platforms, designing secure solutions and mentoring engineers.

You will implement IAM/zero‑trust patterns, automate security across CI/CD, and work with cross‑functional teams to improve threat detection in cloud and endpoint environments. You will collaborate with engineering, IT, and data protection teams to ensure secure, scalable architectures and resilient systems that support social impact

Qualifications

• 5+ years in cloud/infrastructure/DevOps or security engineering.
• 4+ years with AWS and/or Azure.
• Experience with IaC: Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM/Bicep.
• Strong cloud networking knowledge (VPC/VNet, DNS, load balancers, firewalls).
• Understanding of IAM, zero trust principles and secure cloud design patterns.
• Scripting skills (Python/PowerShell/Bash) with CI/CD automation and secrets management.

About The Role

We’re looking for a curious, collaborative, and impact-driven Sr. Security Engineer to help strengthen and scale our cloud security capabilities. In this role, you’ll unleash the potential of people and organizations by powering secure, resilient systems that enable social impact. As a cloud and endpoint subject matter expert, you’ll enhance our cloud security posture while partnering across teams to deliver solutions that are both secure and scalable, helping expand what’s possible for purpose-driven organizations.

• Design and deliver secure cloud solutions that protect critical systems while enabling innovation across Blackbaud’s platforms
• Strengthen cloud security posture by building and maintaining infrastructure using modern security posture management tooling
• Develop secure integrations and application interfaces that support scalable, reliable architectures across cloud environments
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, IT, and data protection teams to elevate endpoint security and improve user experience
• Monitor systems, analyze logs, and investigate incidents to continuously improve threat detection and response capabilities
• Mentor and support fellow engineers, fostering a culture of learning, innovation, and shared success

What You'll Bring

• 5+ years of experience in cloud, infrastructure, DevOps, platform, or security engineering, including 4+ years with AWS and/or Azure
• Experience in cloud security architecture and infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM/Bicep
• Strong understanding of cloud networking, including VPC/VNet, DNS, load balancers, firewalls, routing, and private connectivity
• Understanding of identity and access management, zero trust principles, and secure cloud design patterns
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash, along with CI/CD automation, monitoring, and secrets management tools
