Job summary

Blackbaud is seeking a Systems Engineer, Staff B to manage cloud platforms spanning Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, Exchange, Nasuni, and Thru MFT. You will help govern, secure, and operate these services while aligning with data governance and business needs.

Responsibilities include administering 365 services, building automations, and supporting Nasuni and Thru MFT in regional environments. Strong English communication and collaboration are essential in an Agile team setting.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional systems engineering experience.
• Experience administering Microsoft 365 services such as SharePoint, Teams, or Exchange.
• Experience supporting enterprise file services, managed file transfer, network file shares, cloud storage, or comparable technologies.
• Experience with Windows PowerShell and a demonstrated ability to automate repeatable administrative or operational tasks.
• Knowledge of information protection, security, data governance, retention, audit, and compliance concepts in Microsoft 365 and enterprise file-management platforms.
• Strong collaboration and English communication skills.

• Provide platform-related evidence for audit requests.
• Support various productivity, collaboration, and file-management cloud platforms.
• Work in an Agile team to groom, document, plan, and deliver work.

Job description

As a Systems Engineer, Staff B, you will work within the Messaging and Collaboration Engineering team, managing critical cloud platforms across Microsoft 365, SharePoint, enterprise file management systems including Thru Managed File Transfer and Nasuni cloud file services, along with Teams, Exchange and other messaging and collaboration platforms. You will help keep these platforms well-governed, secure, reliable, supportable, and aligned to business, data governance, and operational requirements

What you'll do:

• Administer and support Microsoft 365 services, including SharePoint, Teams, Exchange, and connected productivity and collaboration platforms.
• Administer and support Thru Managed File Transfer across regional environments, including sites, customer and internal transfer use cases, integrations, secure access, audit logging, and vendor-supported operations.
• Design, build, maintain, and troubleshoot Thru Flows and automations, including integrations that move files between Thru folders, Nasuni shares, Salesforce, and other approved enterprise systems.
• Administer and support Nasuni cloud file services, including filers, volumes, shares, snapshots, access permissions, DNS CNAME dependencies, and platform updates.
• Troubleshoot file access, performance, latency, transfer, automation, and availability issues across Thru and Nasuni and restore files and engage vendor support when required
• Engineer new or changed file-management capabilities, including new Nasuni filers, volumes and shares, new Thru use cases and integrations, and approved proofs of concept
• Apply security, information protection, data classification, retention, audit, and compliance requirements across Microsoft 365 and all enterprise file-management platforms
• Provide platform-related evidence for audit requests
• Support various productivity, collaboration, messaging, and file-management cloud platforms
• Work within an Agile team to groom, document, plan, and deliver work
• Contribute to technical solution design, architecture, automation, operational readiness, documentation, and service delivery
• Identify practical opportunities to integrate approved AI-assisted tools into daily platform administration, support processes, knowledge management, automation, and service delivery while following company governance and data protection requirements
• Monitor, triage, and resolve operational issues; act as an escalation point for cloud and file-management services; produce root cause analysis when appropriate
• Partner with internal stakeholders, application teams, Information Security, vendors, and support teams to deliver reliable and governed solutions

What you'll bring:

• 3+ years of professional systems engineering experience.
• Experience administering Microsoft 365 services such as SharePoint, Teams, or Exchange.
• Experience supporting enterprise file services, managed file transfer, network file shares, cloud storage, or comparable technologies.
• Experience with Windows PowerShell and a demonstrated ability to automate repeatable administrative or operational tasks.
• Knowledge of information protection, security, data governance, retention, audit, and compliance concepts in Microsoft 365 and enterprise file-management platforms.
• Advanced problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, including the ability to produce and deliver root cause analysis.
• Experience developing system architecture and contributing to architecture and engineering standards.
• Strong collaboration, documentation, and English communication skills for working with varied teams and stakeholders.
• Self-starter capable of independently solving complex problems and coordinating vendor support when needed.
• Commitment to continuous learning and keeping current with Microsoft 365, collaboration, and file-management technologies and best practices.
• Demonstrated ability or willingness to use approved AI-assisted tools to improve productivity, documentation, troubleshooting, automation, and decision support.
• Able to work flexible hours as required by business priorities.
• Ability to deliver work that meets expectations for quality, security, reliability, and operability.
