Job summary

Ernst & Young LLP ( EY India ) is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer with 4–6 years of IT experience and strong OpenStack and OpenShift expertise. You will design, deploy, and manage private and hybrid cloud platforms, drive containerisation, and support modernization initiatives.

You will lead automation, implement CI/CD pipelines, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with architects, developers and security teams to build scalable, secure cloud solutions.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of IT experience with 3–5 years in OpenStack and 3–5 years in OpenShift/Kubernetes.
• Experience in Azure or AWS Cloud.
• Strong Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu) administration skills.
• Proficiency in Bash, Python or Go scripting.
• Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Nagios, OpenShift Logging.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD and cloud‑native design principles.
• Expertise in networking (SDN, VLAN, VXLAN) and storage (Ceph, iSCSI, NFS).

Responsibilities

• OpenStack Cloud Management: Deploy, configure, and manage OpenStack services; optimise compute/storage/networking.
• OpenShift & Containerisation: Set up/manage OpenShift clusters; implement CI/CD pipelines with GitOps.
• Automation & Scripting: Develop automation scripts using Ansible, Terraform, Helm.
• Security & Governance: Implement RBAC, IAM, and network policies; ensure ISO/CIS/NIST compliance.
• Collaboration & Leadership: Mentor junior engineers; provide L3 support and incident RCA.

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cloud Engineer with 4-6 years of IT experience and strong expertise in OpenStack and OpenShift. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing enterprise‑grade private and hybrid cloud platforms.

You will drive automation, enable containerization, and support application modernization initiatives. Your key responsibilities

OpenStack Cloud Management

Deploy, configure, and manage OpenStack services (Nova, Neutron, Cinder, Keystone, Horizon, Ceph). Troubleshoot and optimise compute, storage, and networking components. Support VMware‑to‑OpenStack migrations and workload onboarding.

OpenShift & Containerisation

Set up and manage OpenShift clusters, including scaling, patching, and operator lifecycle management. Implement CI/CD pipelines and GitOps (ArgoCD/Flux) with DevSecOps practices. Support application teams with containerisation, microservices deployment, and service mesh adoption.

Automation & Scripting

Develop automation scripts using Ansible, Terraform, and Helm. Standardise Infrastructure as Code for provisioning and lifecycle management.

Security & Governance

Implement RBAC, IAM, and network policies in OpenStack and OpenShift. Ensure compliance with ISO, CIS, and NIST standards.

Collaboration & Leadership

Work closely with architects, developers, and security teams. Mentor junior engineers and establish best practices. Provide L3 support and lead root cause analysis for incidents.

Skills and attributes for success

Required Skills:
