Job summary

HYKON INDIA LIMITED is seeking a Senior CAD Engineer in Kerala with 4–5 years of experience in sheet metal design for enclosures and cabinets. You will transform concepts into accurate 3D models and manufacturing-ready 2D drawings, focusing on sheet metal fabrication processes like bending, welding, and punching.

You will use Solid Edge, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and CorelDraw to deliver robust CAD work, collaborate with manufacturing teams, and optimize designs for cost-effective production.

Qualifications

• 4–5 years of proven experience in sheet metal design for enclosures/cabinets.
• Proficient in 3D CAD tools: Solid Edge and SolidWorks; strong 2D drafting in AutoCAD.
• Diploma or Bachelor’s in Mechanical/Production Engineering or equivalent certification.

Responsibilities

• 3D Modeling & Design: Create robust 3D models of sheet metal cabinets, enclosures, and structural assemblies using Solid Edge and SolidWorks.
• 2D Drafting & FlatPatterns: Generate detailed production drawings, GD&T, and flat pattern layouts for CNC laser cutting and punching.
• Manufacturing Optimization: Design with sheet metal constraints in mind (bend deductions, material thickness, k-factors) to ensure cost-effective production.
• Graphic Integration: Use CorelDraw to design overlays, silk-screen layouts, branding elements, and labels for cabinets.
• Collaboration: Work with manufacturing and assembly teams to resolve production-line design issues.

RoleOverview

We are seeking a skilled anddetail-oriented Senior CAD Engineer with 4 to 5 years of experiencespecializing in sheet metal cabinet design. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming concepts into highly accurate 3D models and manufacturing-ready 2D drawings. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes (bending, welding, punching) and is highly proficient in industry-standard design software.

• AutoCAD: Strong command over 2Ddrafting, structural layouts, and legacy data conversion.
• CorelDraw: Intermediate toadvanced skills for vector artwork, labeling, and aesthetic cabinet layouts.

TechnicalKnowledge:

Deep understanding of sheet metalfabrication processes, welding symbols, and enclosure standards (e.g., IPratings, NEMA standards if applicable).

Education:

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Production Engineeringor equivalent technical certification.
