Job summary

Partner Company in India is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to own business analysis initiatives across the SDLC. You will work with global stakeholders, technology teams, and cross-functional leaders to define requirements, drive automation opportunities, and deliver scalable solutions that improve operational efficiency and outcomes.

You will lead workshops, map processes, collaborate with architects and QA, oversee UAT, and mentor other analysts.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in business systems analysis or related fields.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum & Kanban) and Waterfall.
• Hands-on experience with SQL, Excel, Power BI, Tableau or similar tools.
• Understanding of APIs, data models and enterprise system integrations.
• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Lucidchart, Visio, Miro or Draw.io for requirements and process documentation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Take ownership of business analysis initiatives that connect complex business needs with effective technology solutions. In this role, you will collaborate with global stakeholders, technology teams, and cross-functional leaders to define requirements and guide system improvements throughout the software development lifecycle. You will identify process gaps, recommend automation opportunities, and help deliver scalable solutions that improve operational efficiency and business outcomes. Working across both business and technical teams, you will support solution design, development, testing, and implementation. You will also contribute to stakeholder alignment, mentor fellow analysts, and promote continuous improvement through structured analysis and data-driven insights. This remote opportunity is ideal for an experienced, proactive problem solver who can turn complex requirements into clear, actionable solutions.

Accountabilities

• Lead stakeholder workshops to understand business needs, identify challenges, and translate requirements into functional specifications, user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria.

• Map current-state and future-state business processes, identify gaps and inefficiencies, and recommend workflow optimization and automation opportunities.

• Collaborate with solution architects, developers, and QA teams to assess system capabilities, explore integration opportunities, and ensure proposed solutions align with business objectives.

• Manage requirements traceability and support development and testing activities throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT), coordinate defect resolution, and help ensure solutions meet business requirements before release.

• Evaluate proposed system enhancements, conduct impact assessments and root cause analyses, and support informed solution decisions.

• Support system implementations, migrations, and releases, helping drive user adoption through clear documentation and training.

• Maintain process maps, functional specifications, system workflows, and other business analysis documentation.

• Use data analysis tools and relevant business information to support decision-making and identify opportunities for improvement.

• Facilitate collaboration across stakeholders and provide guidance or mentorship to fellow business analysts.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in business systems analysis, systems design, product or IT consulting, or a related field.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban, as well as Waterfall, with experience managing business analysis activities across the SDLC.

• Hands-on experience with SQL, Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or comparable data analysis tools.

• Understanding of APIs, data models, and enterprise system integrations, with the ability to assess system dependencies and evaluate technical solutions.

• Proficiency with requirements management, collaboration, and process documentation tools such as Jira, Confluence, Lucidchart, Visio, Miro, or Draw.io.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret complex requirements and recommend practical solutions.

• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Proactive approach to managing priorities, driving initiatives, and supporting continuous improvement.
