Job summary

Ramboll in India is seeking a Business Controller to lead financial planning, budgeting, and performance review for regional and global units. You will collaborate with stakeholders to ensure robust financial reporting and strategic decision support.

As a trusted advisor, you will drive cost controls, monitor working capital, and align processes with Ramboll's global finance policies and standards. This role requires strong accounting acumen and communication skills.

Qualifications

• 6 to 8 years of relevant experience in business controlling, budgeting and financial planning.
• Education: CA / MBA / PG / ACCA / CMA.
• MS Excel at expert level; Power BI knowledge is a plus.
• Strong experience in business controlling in consulting.
• Excellent English language skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead business controlling for assigned units and implement globally aligned finance policies.

Job Description

• Lead the business controlling of assigned business units (Regional & Global) and provide support in implementing globally aligned finance policies, processes & systems.
• Understand stakeholder’s expectation, build strong relationship and collaborates effectively.
• Maintain strong business acumen and financial credibility to work as trusted business advisor and finance business partner.
• Perform financial planning and track continued development of Budget, Financial forecasting and Operating plan.
• Drive and review the financial performance of assigned Business units and provide quality assurance of the internal monthly reporting.
• Review and control overall financial performance of projects, project profitability and order book in the business.
• Understand project risk & opportunities, participate in project reviews and supervise follow-up on WIP/AR.
• Monitoring of Working capital and take initiatives for reduction of working capital days.
• Lead and contributes to management meetings.
• Provide information to management to be used for commercial decisions and provide complex finance advisory.
• Focus on value-adding financial performance management support and not financial admin and accounting process.
• Participate in knowledge sharing forums to secure that inspiration and improvement ideas are matured and spread.

Qualifications

• 6 to 8 years of relevant working experience in Business controlling, financial planning and budgeting, accounting, and cost controlling.
• Education qualification: CA / MBA / PG / ACCA / CMA
• MS Excel skills at expert level, knowledge of Power BI would be an added advantage.
• Strong experience in Business Controlling in Consulting Business.
• Experience relating to managing the relevant process activities.
• Knowledge on the application of business finance systems.
• Expert in the mgmt. accounting/business finance/business acumen.
• Stakeholder management.
• Excellent English language skills (written and oral).
