Persistent Systems is seeking a Senior Business Analyst - Healthcare to bridge communication gaps between business stakeholders, product management, and technical delivery teams across all Persistent locations.

You will gather, document, refine, and maintain business and functional requirements, manage Jira backlogs and user stories, and translate requirements into detailed specifications for Dev and QA. This role emphasizes Agile delivery and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role.
• Experience in requirements gathering, analysis, documentation, and stakeholder management.
• Hands-on Jira administration, backlog management, user stories, and agile project tracking.
• Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and SDLC methodologies.
• Experience creating BRDs, FRDs, use cases, and process flows.

Responsibilities

• Bridge communication gaps between clients, business stakeholders, product teams, and delivery teams.
• Analyze, clarify, and resolve project requirement ambiguities and gaps.
• Gather, document, refine, and maintain business and functional requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
• Actively manage, update, track, and maintain Jira tickets, backlogs, user stories, epics, and requirement documentation.
• Ensure requirements are clearly defined, prioritized, and aligned with business objectives.
• Translate business and product requirements into detailed functional specifications for Development and QA teams.
• Facilitate requirement workshops, stakeholder meetings, grooming sessions, and solution discussions.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, Developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders to ensure common understanding of requirements.
• Support sprint planning, backlog refinement, user story definition, and acceptance criteria creation.
• Track requirement changes and ensure proper communication and documentation across stakeholders.
• Identify dependencies, risks, and gaps that may impact project delivery and proactively drive resolution.
• Support UAT activities, defect triage, and validation of delivered solutions against business requirements.
• Prepare status reports, requirement traceability documentation, dashboards, and project updates.
• Ensure alignment between business goals, product vision, and technical implementation.

• Strong experience in requirements gathering, analysis, documentation, and stakeholder management.
• Proven experience bridging communication between product management, business stakeholders, development teams, and QA teams.
• Hands-on expertise in Jira administration, backlog management, user story creation, and Agile project tracking.
• Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and SDLC methodologies.
• Experience creating BRDs, FRDs, user stories, use cases, process flows, and functional specifications.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking abilities.
• Strong experience conducting workshops, requirement elicitation sessions, and business discussions.
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into clear and actionable technical requirements.
• Experience managing requirement traceability, change requests, and documentation governance.
• Knowledge of QA processes, UAT support, defect management, and release validation.
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working with cross-functional and distributed teams in Agile environments.
• Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, Visio, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and collaboration tools.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while ensuring successful project delivery and business alignment.
