Job summary

Egis India Consulting Engineers Pvt Ltd is seeking a Senior Engineer - Bridges in Bengaluru to lead bridge and transportation structural design projects from concept to handover. You will oversee design checks, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and mentor junior engineers to ensure quality and safety across all deliverables.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in bridge design on major infra, with a strong track record in highways, roads, or rail sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (B.Eng/M.Eng) in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience as a Bridge Design Engineer, covering all project phases from concept development through to project handover.
• Proven experience working on large-scale infrastructure projects, preferably within highways, roads, or rail sectors.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of bridge and transportation structural design projects.
• Manage projects from concept through detailed design to construction and handover.
• Undertake and oversee bridge and structural design and detailing in line with relevant standards.
• Carry out and review structural analysis and design calculations.
• Manage and undertake independent design checks, including Category checks.
• Plan, programme, and manage project delivery, resources, and budgets.
• Act as the main point of contact for clients and key stakeholders.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated project delivery.
• Provide leadership, mentoring, and technical support to junior engineers.
• Ensure quality, safety, and compliance across all deliverables.
