Job Description

Senior Engineer Bridges role is critical in effectively managing workloads between the bridge's teams. This individual will be responsible for the delivery of high-quality support.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for managing mid-scale project teams.
• Authors high quality technical reports.
• Understands technical issues and costs related to selection of complex design features.
• Able to present work at Client meetings and deliver high quality presentations.
• Applies broad technical experience and knowledge and able to check or critically review work of all those in the project team.
• Able to prepare and review project cost estimates for all packages of work.
• Fully proficient in structural analysis and design of variety of structures and able to review deliverables for the project.
• Through understanding of international Railway standards, International codes of practice, Health and safety legislation.
• Detailed knowledge of multi‑discipline designs and competence with engineering software such as Staad Pro, LUSAS.
• Proficiency in dynamic and static analysis. Develop schematic designs and detailed designs for small to large scale projects.
• Carry out checks on the work carried out by junior engineers and AutoCAD technicians.
• Ensure effective communication and coordination on assigned tasks between all disciplines.
• Ensure designs meet Clients requirements and compliance with relevant Codes of Practice.
• Responsible for compliance with WSP QA/QC procedures and implementation of procedures.
• Keep abreast of latest trends and technologies in the Industry and calculations.

Qualifications

• Approaching towards attaining Chartered Engineering.
• M.Tech/M.E/B.Tech/B.E. (Civil/Structural).
• 6 years or above experience in bridge design from any consulting firm.
• Have experience to work on Software's like LUSAS, MIDAS/ Staddpro.
• Team Leader and experience working in a team.
• Capable to demonstrate work and moral ethics.
