Job summary

Egis is seeking a detail-oriented CAD Detailer/Technician to join the transportation infrastructure team in Bengaluru, India. You will create precise CAD drawings and technical specs for bridge structures and transportation projects, collaborating with engineers and project managers to deliver construction documents that meet industry standards.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of CAD detailing experience, proficiency in AutoCAD or Civil 3D, and strong knowledge of bridge design and construction

Job Description

We're looking for a detail-oriented and organized CAD Detailer/Technician to join our transportation infrastructure team in Bengaluru, India. In this role, you will be responsible for creating precise and comprehensive CAD drawings and technical specifications for bridge structures and transportation projects. You will work collaboratively with engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality construction documents that meet industry standards and project requirements. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to significant infrastructure development while honing your technical expertise in bridge design and detailing.

• Develop detailed CAD drawings and construction documents for bridge structures, including plans, elevations, sections, and details
• Prepare technical specifications and coordinate drawings with engineering designs and project requirements
• Analyze design information and convert complex engineering concepts into clear, accurate CAD models and documentation
• Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable codes, standards, and best practices
• Collaborate with structural engineers, project teams, and clients to incorporate feedback and revisions efficiently
• Organize and maintain comprehensive drawing files, documentation, and project records in a systematic manner
• Support project schedules by delivering drawings and documentation on time without compromising quality
• Ensure all CAD work adheres to company standards, naming conventions, and quality control procedures
• Communicate technical information clearly to team members and stakeholders
• Stay current with CAD software updates, tools, and industry best practices in bridge design and detailing

Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or equivalent design platforms
• 2-5 years of professional experience in CAD detailing, drafting, or technical design roles
• Strong knowledge of bridge design, structural detailing, and transportation infrastructure principles
• Solid understanding of construction standards, building codes, and design specifications relevant to bridge projects
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate and precise technical drawings
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret engineering designs and convert them into detailed CAD documentation
• Proficiency in organizing and managing technical files, documentation, and project information
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
• Ability to work efficiently and meet project deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards
• Experience with bridge or infrastructure projects is preferred
• Familiarity with transportation infrastructure standards and design guidelines is advantageous
• Knowledge of additional design software or visualization tools is a plus
